Noun or adjective? Since adjectives aren't capitalized normally, it must be a noun. So the crowd traveling to Clemson was appointed, by the Pope, to teach little 'ole Clemson what? No way they will convince us that the pine tree on there helmet is a cardinal...is this a tree cult from Calli???

That’s my take.

the Stanford Cardinal is similar to the Harvard Crimson.

It’s just about the color.

Pretty sure it is a noun, seems like they used to have a cardinal(bird) as part of their emblem. If the ACC was going to add any of the leftover schools Stanford is a great addition. Great academics & athletics with a long great history in both. For FB do they add what Ok, Tx or USC Trojans add? no, but a solid addition for FB.

They were then the Indians from 1930-72, but most people still called them the Cardinal.

When I first saw the helmet with the tree I thought another Auburn....
They say they are cardinals but have trees on helmet and on Merch. Is it a bird or tree?
Auburn Tigers do the War Eagle chant and stance. Are they tigers or war eagles?
Not interested in what they identify as. I am just waiting for them to spot the ball!! ;)
