Did Dabo just go out and hire from outside the program?

And a guy with NFL playing and coaching experience at that! I thought that went against the "New Dabo's" policy of walling everything off against any new ideas and outside influences, and just hiring "yes men" and former teammates. I am so confused.

years as a coach in the NFL with 3 different teams; 1 year as a coach at Auburn. Total 17 years as a player or coach with 7 teams not named "Clemson".
So yes - OUTSIDE INFLUENCES (EDIT: I realize Eason played here - I remember him well)

It’s the same as hiring Streeter, Scott, Elliott, Grisham, Spiller, etc.
That said, the man has NFL experience and wears a Super Bowl ring. Slam dunk hire. No one said Dabo never makes good hires when he keeps it in the Clemson family. Jeff Scott was an amazing coordinator. That’s just a fact.

within. The point is, it demonstrates that Dabo will absolutely go outside of the program to get who he believes is the best coach for Clemson, without hesitation.

Did you miss that Eason played at Clemson? Being a Clemson player makes him an insider. By the way, we have had many outside coaches during the Championship years of Dabo.
