“I was frustrated. You just have to come out and try to prove that you’re a good pitcher and that what other people think doesn’t matter,” Erwin said. “There was a chip on my shoulder to come out and prove that I could hang with big boys. It was nice to do well tonight.” Glad Zach had an excellent start, but that young man has nothing to prove to anyone. He is top notch on and off the field.

I disagree. And I have felt this way for some time. These players don't play with that chip on their shoulder. You have everything to prove every time you take the field. It's called killer instinct. Sometimes I think our athletes are too pampered. I'm glad the young man felt like he did, but this program needs that attitude day in and out. ...from players to coaches.

Erwin was not only good, he was classy. Apologizing the the home plate ump for his action after he thought that he had thrown a third strike was good stuff...

Great job Zack.....we have a couple of players that get strikes called on them when the pitch is between the shins and the armpits and 6 inches in or outside the plate. GO TIGERS....
