Never been a Notre Dame fan. Do not like Notre Dame's chances in final. But the way Freeman and team moved forward with backup O-linemen and QB tonight were outstanding. The Irish took care of business. No excuses. Freeman credited Golden with developing "savages" and his players with adapting & stepping up through the challenges. He recognizes and accepts the media's need to portray him first as a black man, but he makes it clear that being a quality coach and a quality man take precedent over skin color and his team (from all backgrounds) made it happen.

I'm a Marcus Freeman fan tonight.

And when Told he was the 1st African American to make Natty game he seemed to take a sec to give answer as if question embarrassed him a bit.
