Besides the National Championship games, what was your favorite bowl memory

or trip and why? I only have attended one bowl game and it was our loss to West Virgina. That was a very humiliating loss, but ultimately changed this program for the better. We had taken a New Years cruise and came back to port and hung out another day and then went to the game. Great memories with my teenage sons at the time and wife, just not the score of the game.
What is yours and why? I love hearing and/or reading about peoples adventures and great times at Clemson games? What is some of your moments?

I lived in NC then and I paid for my college education. I attended ECU and we went on a road trip up to WV and got humiliated by them, 49-0. Great drunk fans though and they were very hospitable to say the least. Was glad to see us (Clemson) beat them that following year though.

I was at this one, the Citrus Bowl vs Cal (easily the worst), a couple of Peach Bowls, an ACCCG in Orlando, and the Tampa Natty.
At the WV Gator Bowl, the game itself was awesome, but I was glad to make the trip with my oldest brother (a huge fan, but not an alum). On the way down 95, we were playing leapfrog with a conversion van from West Virginia, driven by a true hillbilly. Really odd, but when we got to the parking lot, guess who ended up parking right next to us? Well, that guy was a good old boy, and he was well equipped with party supplies, if you know what I mean. My brother and I had a great time with the guy, and a couple of times, and the hillbilly ended up being a great neighbor in the parking lot.
This was my senior year at Clemson. Great times!

Mine is bittersweet! The 1989 Gator bowl. We humiliated West Virginia and Major Harris to the point his mom was begging for mercy! We had destroyed the chickens 45-0 to end the season. This was a young team, and I had big expectations floating in my head as we left Jacksonville that night for 1990... only to see Danny gone a few days later. UGH, what might have been!

Never been to a Clemson one (2021 Mayo bowl got invited by friends hated both teams). Plan to be in Jacksonville this year though. But favorite 2012 4th and 16 one of the earliest games I can remember watching end to end that was truly the moment it all started you could say.

In person for the ‘80 Carolina game….”Willie Underwood” Day. His interception & run all the way down inside the Gamecock 10 turned the whole game around ( it was 6-6) & Carolina was driving for the go ahead score. He later returned a 2nd one for a TD in the 4th quarter , the place was CRAZY…F 27-6 . Springboard into’81

Beating LSU. I honestly didn’t think we stood a chance and his in game performance was nothing short of a miracle, or was it Oklahoma? Either way that game was awesome

‘12 Chick-Fil-A and ‘15 Orange are the only ones I’ve been to. Got surprised with Chick-Fil-A tickets the day of the game as a 9 year old and sat on the front row of the upper deck in the corner of the Clemson end zone. ‘15 Orange I remember driving down to Daytona the night before the game, eating at a Zaxbys with my dad in middle of nowhere South Georgia, and listening the basketball Tigers lose a close game in Chapel Hill. I also remember every little detail of that game, John Fogerty played at halftime

Drove down from Jacksonville with my son and back home after the game. Sat up in the cheap seats with a bunch of Clemson and Tri County Tech students. All from my old stomping grounds, I am originally from Seneca. No doubt the most fun I ever had at a game and I have been going to tiger games since 1965!

The 2001 Humanitarian Bowl in Boise, Idaho...

was one of the most fun bowl games that in attended. That's right, the broken fax machine game, pregame snow, and playing on the blue turf.
Hanging out at Busters with all of the Clemson fans who made the trip, and then staying a couple of extra days to get in some snowmobiling and skiing at Bogus Basin.
I still maintain the 1979 Peach Bowl against Baylor was colder.

Remember that one and what a crazy place to play. Would love to see a game there! Flew over on way to Alaska and was hoping I saw the stadium, but might have been on other side of plane

2001 Humanitarian Bowl was memorable for me for a number of reasons: - first and only snow game I've attended - first time visiting the cool city of Boise, Idaho - first and only time I've seen the Tigers play on a blue field
Tiger cheerleaders built a replica of Howard's Rock out of snow.
Clemson defeated Louisiana Tech that day 49-24.
