8 bowl games. You had to have a great record and the match ups were fun now there are 100 bowls with 50 people in stands for some of these. The times we live in now days.

I think it should be a 7 win minimum for teams to get in.

Being .500.....and eligible, is just absurd to me.

No bowl games next year. Only the playoff. Either you are a top 12 team or its a no go.

6 was the minimum when we played 11 games

When they went to 12 games ,the minimum should have been upped to 7 instead adding so many bowls.

It was 6 wins vs FBS schools back then too, wins over FCS schools didn't count. With the increase in bowls they had to revise that rule in order to have enough schools eligible. I also liked it when bowls had cool names instead of corporate names, Gator Bowl instead of Meineke Car Care Bowl.
