I have one small concern with Chad Morris's offense.

The last couple of games I have been able to guess the plays on first and second downs once we get in the redzone. Now granted, I've watched every play of every game this year, but if I can see a trend I'm sure opposing coaches are seeing it.

You have a 50/50 shot...

...when guessing pass or run.
317.6 passing yards per game. 180.4 rushing yards per game. 41.0 points per game.
I wouldn't be concerned.

It's not a pass/run guess. That's easy. It's knowing it's a run, who's running it, and where it's going.
Go back and watch the last three games and you will know what I mean. Focus on when we get in the red zone. Also note the down and distance.

an interception. As long as we get there, enough times, we will be ok.

I am more worried about the ol on run blocking! 0 success running between the tackles for several games now. they are still putting up good numbers but for them to compete against the better teams they need to be able to get 3-5 running up the middle. I dare to say they are avg. more than 1.5 up the middle. any decent runs have been to the outside for the most part. I hope the O-line improves. more concern with not being able to run the ball than with the D at this point.

I wish we were more spread out in red zone esp as close

as 9-8 yards and goal
DISLIKE the bunch formation -- our O-Line is not big or good enough to blow people off the ball

3rd and short has gotten very predictable too

This was a big part of what happened to us last year. Ga Tech exposed our tendencies, which we rely on heavily.

It's really easy

1st - run up the middle or dump pass
2nd - run up the middle or dump pass
3nd - Tajh run

But that has been against the crappy defenses we play

Morris has shown extreme creativity when the caliber of defense goes up.
I expect he has some packages ready for the coots.

The only problem I have with the offense is that trick play where Tajh pretends like he's looking to the sideline and starts to walk down the line with the direct snap to the RB. It was cute the first time and caught Auburn off guard, but we've run it two more times now. It's gotten a bit too predictable whenever we see Tajh do that. Let's just line up and play and not overcomplicate things or else come up with some new trick plays. Chad's a creative guy!

Our WR to the left was wide open on the trick snap play

Not that we necessarily need trick plays with RB passes, you could see our receiver to the left (couldn't tell who) was wide open on that play. I'm sure the coaches know the pass is there.

they study the other guys to prepare and they study their own to see how to deviate and fool the opponent. if we are in a pattern we know it. it is either by design or because the other options aren't as good against the opponent. plus chad always has a few wrinkles he can show when he needs to

logged. we know what we do, opponents know what we do. the same with every other college (and pro)team out there. if we have tendencies, we know it and are daring the opponent to stop it, or, we are setting up a new look to pull out when needed.
