2025 Running Back

Who starts the season at RB1? Who ends the season at RB1? We need someone to emerge to compliment Klubnik and cause opponents to respect the backfield

Probably EZ

I looked like we wanted to go right to him with Mafah hurt there against Texas.

Hopefully it's a battle we don't know the results of until Fall.

Wayne Gallman was the last one we could count on to not whiff a block.

Look out for Adam Randall next year. His experience at wr will make him a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses.

Typically you have a linebacker covering the RB coming out of the backfield. Adam has WR speed and should be able to get separation fairly easily. Plus his height is and advantage as well.

Hope you're right but he has had difficulty...

with injuries as a WR>durability from the RB position w/ 10 or more carries per game<

He looked good without much practice. He might be a stud.***

He's my pick for breakout player of the year. He's solid as a rock and probably pancake a blitzer. 3 yards and a cloud of dust. Plus add in what anaton posted above. With a ton of knowledge of our offense, and a desire to move his draft status, he'll be a tremendous asset in order to let the young guns excel.

I've pulled for him ever since he signed. He stuck with us even when he was losing reps by the minute. It'd make my day if he became our x factor and gets drafted higher.

Oh, and thanks for your posts PBT. Always enjoy your perspective.

Hope running back turns out to be his natural position as I would like to see him drafted and also help us with that big strong back with some speed.

Why does this keep coming up? With a fresh start, the player that looks the best in the spring and summer will start.

Interesting to see who starts the season there, but I think Gideon ends the season at RB1

I see him as the most talented RB myself but my only reservation is that every time we depend on a very talented yet inexperienced back to carry the rock with regularity, they put the ball on the ground too much. It seems like stepping up to this level from high school requires one to be forged in the fire for a season and gain the constant focus on ball security.
