I took a shot last night at the 2017 Depth Chart. I have my confidence levels in green/yellow/red. Some positions are total toss ups like QB and RB. Any thoughts?

I think feasted will start at RB. Mullen at CB over carter, and Muse will take over ar safety. Looks good though. I really hope Johnson or cooper can overtake Bryant at QB. Are D should be nasty

I think we'll probably bring in a preferred walk on to compete for the punting job.

Agree! He is so explosive but we need somebody who is going to catch the ball. I wonder how Powell would be back there.

QB......not sure about KB. I think ZC or HJ have a good shot at #1 and 2....not sure if KB will be playing QB next year after hearing Roy Philpot, he has his doubts.
CB....we better hope AB and/or TM are one of the starters because of their height and length.
All other positions seem pretty close.

Tre Lamar is going to start at MLB. I know the team likes to differentiate between boundary and field corner, but Fields and Mullen are the two most talented corners this year so I wouldn't be surprised if they both start next year. Wallace has been brought in on Nickel and Dime packages this year so I'd guess he'd continue with that. I'm also really hoping Simmons starts just because of his ceiling.

Lamar vs. Joseph was a tough decision and I figured experience wins over recruiting rankings. Is there any chance one of them could slide into Boulware's spot? There's a lot to be desired there

There's certainly flexibility, just like Boulware moves to MLB sometimes. Every position on defense next year is going to be deep, such a luxury.
Fun note: Lamar's per snap stats this year blow away Joseph and Boulware. I know that doesn't mean everything, but making a tackle on 21% of snaps is mind boggling.

Well done. I just that Adrian Baker can bounce back and make a huge impact next year. I'm anxious to see LaSamuel Davis' speed and whether or not he puts on the weight the coaches wanted him to (20-30lbs). No doubt the defense will be nasty good next year....they are nasty this year too, but only loosing 3 starters is not too shabby.

Mark fields may not have ideal size but he is super athletic and has a lot higher upside than baker, carter, and Edmond. Fields is just as tall as Mac was. You don't have to be 6'2 to be a good corner

If we get consistent QB/RB play we will be right back into the playoff hunt. The only real challenge is going to be FSU and Auburn. We may lose to Auburn since it is early in the season. Louisville will not stand a chance against our Defense.

Few thoughts

Don't count out Brice at QB. I think we have 4 guys that could start next year. Brice could be an excellent game manager and we could definitely win with him, similar to what he is doing now.
I'd put Powell behind McCloud and Thompson behind Renfrow bc Trev is a possession receiver and Powell is dangerous with the ball in his hands.
Simpson > Hearn and maybe even Pollard over Jake. Sean has played amazing for a freshman.
As starting RB, Fuller would likely not be returning punts.
I don't think Foster is a WLB. Dude is the biggest LB we will have and you wanna put him at the smallest LB position? I don't think he will see the much next year anyways.

Thinking the same thing. Pollard is close to being the Hyatt of last year dude has come in and played pretty decent as a true freshman his body waa ready to start RT when he stepped on the field. IMO he's our future at RT.

I could see it going either way if Jake could get more consistent in the offseason. The Oline should be the deepest it's ever been next year. Just need to find a center who belongs with the studs we've got at G & T

Everybody is going to disagree with Fuller as the starter but I am pretty confident he will be. Feaster has looked good but Fuller knows the playbook and is better in PP. Feaster will get his snaps.

You don't think feasted can learn the playbook in an entire off season. He wasn't an enrollment last year and in my opinion he still looks better than fuller. Give him the off season and it won't be close. The kid is a stud

It will be real interesting to see who takes over Ben's spot. I do like Shaq there but Chad Smith or Jamie Skalski are more than capable and who is to count out Davis as he is the backup right now. It is going to be a battle for sure! Jalen Williams could step in there as he can play all 3 positions. We are stacked at LB for sure.
