2012 perspective vs. 10 seasons later

This season sucks…the last couple sucked. But I was thinking back on the 2012 Chick-Fil-A bowl and the powerful emotion of winning that game. It was just a bowl game. But when Cat-man’s kick went through I dropped to my knees in tears. I know most of you shared similar feelings.

It made me realize if that game was played today it would be a disappointment to be in that bowl, and many would be upset it was as close as it was. Succes changes expectations, perspective and has made me be pretty negative. I don’t like it.

Point being, the come up is so much fun. Exceeding expectations, fighting to get to the top and stay there. Once you get there, you got one direction to go.

I don’t know when it going to happen but I believe it will. Things looked pretty bad after the West Virginia Orange bowl debacle. But Dabo made changes. He righted the ship and sailed it to the top of the mountain.

It seems Dabo got a little complacent. Heck, he has to learn how to stay on top. It’s not like he has been there many times before. I’m as disappointed as all of you in this season but I’m ready for the come up again. I’m ready to see the changes that Dabo is going to make and I can’t wait to feel that same emotion that beating LSU gave me a decade ago. It’s coming and I’ll be here for it.

Clemson Nation would be ecstatic at this point to beat LSU in the Chick-Fil-A bowl.

I would be be happy but still disappointed. Felt like we won something big that night. Would still consider this season a failure looking back. Even beating Tennessee last year wouldn’t have don’t too much for me like the lsu game did. Op is right
