Makes me very upset. My father was a prisoner of war and he volunteered, like many of you or loved ones, to defend freedom. Freedom is such a great concept that uneducated, idiotic imbeciles can burn their own flag in protest.
If I was in charge, and fortunately for all I am not, this type of action would be punishable by death. Too many blood stained fields, beaches and lands have been covered by our young men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice for the price of freedom

I don't think having racist opinions should be illegal. Hate speech is protected speech. I don't trust the government to decide what is and isn't racist enough to be illegal.
Now if you follow someone around screaming slurs at them, you might get arrested for harassment and I don't think that's unreasonable.

Flag burning was addressed by the SCOTUS in 1993 and it is constitutionally protected. Nobody in this thread pointing this fact out supports flag burning. That’s the argument of an idiot. So stop acting like one.

Oh it’s annoying to me and many others, but it in no way makes me or most folks in my opinion, then think highly of whatever cause is expressing itself by burning the flag.
It’s akin to a child holding its breath.
