I remember the pre Hugo days but even afterwards the vibe never changed and the music probably got better.
Don’t know the bands, but just listened to some UTube songs _ seem pretty good.

My neighbors invited me to go see Uncle Mingo's lead singer's other band (Radio Bomb) Friday night, so I will prob go see them. And the sax/keyboard player's full time band (East Coast Party Band) is playing Sunday and I was asked by a friend in that band to stop by, so I prob will.
Last time I saw Spider Monkey was at the 'jammer I think in '22--I was still living on IOP and walked down there. Let's just say that the lead singer-Todd's vocal range, at least that day, stopped somewhere in the "screaming" and "just turn it up louder" range. It was pretty rough-I left early. Which is really a shame, because that band used to be a lot of fun.
