Does anyone else feel like Cade got done wrong? He comes in cold, backed up near the goal line, they call a pass play which goes poorly, and then he gets benched? Multiple things about I take issue with, but the biggest is what does that do to his confidence going forward?

If he didn't throw it, he was going to take a safety or a sack right at the goal line at least. That play was doomed no matter what he did. The only thing that would have saved it was an audible into a new play.

Cade's play was to throw the ball away.
Dabo said after Spring Practice that Cade had to learn that he couldn't just run away from College defenders and make some improvised play the way that he did in HS.
From what little that Cade has played this year, he hasn't learned that lesson yet.
Again, on his terrible pik throw, his play was to throw the ball away. Cade blew it.

Agree...he needed to throw that away. But my biggest complaint is that we did not let me stay in game. He IS a freshman and he is gonna make some dumb mistakes...but in my opinion he should have been allowed to do that several games ago and probably at home. At this point I would have preferred to let Cade have the rest of the game to hopefully take ownership of this team and QB1 role for the rest of the season.

DJ can stink it up all game and threw a pick six and still stay in. Cade gets put in in the worst possible situation makes a mistake and gets yank. Wouldn’t blame him if he left

I don’t know what it looked like on tv, but watching the replay on the big screen at the game it looked like Cade’s head bounced off the turf pretty hard on that interception. Wonder if he has to go through concussion protocol??
