Guess we were lucky 1st qtr when the SMU D was disorganized and we took advantage..
While their team rebounded in 2nd half & showed their strengths and shut Tigers down..
While we seemed to help them too with some questionable O play-calling.
Saying, Tiger Team was fortunate to escape an OT since Ponies were the hotter team if going into extra play had happened.

Only the final score counts.
Our coaches called the game to win, and they 100% were proved right.
Too many want to 2nd guess the Tigers and give no credit to SMU.

The SMU game was not a random game. Same thing happened in the coot game and throughout the whole season. Dominant first halves then foot off the gas in the second halves, no necessary adjustments.
All on coaching.
Thank God for Hauser.

Both our offense and defense imploded in the second half against SC and SMU. What is the solution. Better players and recruiting or better coaches? This coaching both offense and defense is much poorer than in the past.

That was predictable. We have not played 2 good halves in a game this year except maybe Wake.

Having virtually no running game and almost exclusively having to go to the pass, made the second half very challenging and much easier for SMU to defend.
