Everything is cyclical.
With the possible exception of Alabama. Only the Tide is a constant.
I picked Bama to beat Georgia, but it amazes me that UGA fans are looking forward to playing them again.
Yes, UGA is now one of the 4 Elite teams across the college football landscape and will remain there for 20 years,
BUT THE DAWGS MUST GET OVER THE HUMP AND I WISH THE GEORGIA FANS WOULD STOP THE TRASH TALK. It gets old. Just take care of business and thrash Michigan in the playoff semi finals and then take on Alabama in the National Title game.
Clemson is still a good program and has a lot going for it. Losing Venables is a result of the success Clemson has achieved. He can be replaced. Clemson will still go to bowl games and can compete for the ACC Title. I also think Clemson can win the Cheez it Bowl.
The only constant in life is change. Cyclical.

Would love to hear your case for making Georgia one of the top four elite programs? I’ll go ahead and start your list.
1) UGA consistently recruits a top four recruiting class.
2) UGA won a national championship in 1980.
3) UGA has won as many SEC titles as Tennessee.
4) UGA has won one SEC title game in past ten years.
5) UGA has lost four SEC title games in past ten years.
6) UGA has not beaten Alabama in the past 10 years, not since 2007.
BTW, your Clemson Tigers have beaten Bama more in the past five years than Georgia has in the past 15 years.
I’m sure you could make a solid case for Georgia being top four elite program. Let’s hear it.

If it weren’t for high preseason expectations/rankings based on recruiting then I’m not sure Georgia would much matter.

Sooo you’re saying GA will continue to be a top 4 Elite program for the next 20 years and Clemson will now fall back to just a good (but not elite) team now the we lost a D-Coordinator?
Haha GA hasn’t sealed the deal on that National championship hump yet. Don’t get ahead of yourself because if you fail to this season you are still on a 41 year drought.
We on the other hand still have the coach that matters and that’s Dabo. I’d argue the only reason we had an off year is we missed on DJ and had we had at least an average QB we’d have gone undefeated or at the very least 12-1 with and ACC championship. Yes DJ has been that bad.
Not sure if you were counting Clemson in there as one of the 4 elite programs or not. It sure didn’t read that way. We may not be back even next season but by 2023 I’d expect to be back competing for a championship.

Backing into the playoffs after losing your conference championship game isn’t quite elite and there is nothing to indicate that this won’t be the best year you have in the next 20. I do think you’ll beat Michigan and my earlier prediction of Bama boat racing y’all twice will come true. Bama is still y’all’s biggest fear. Kind of like the way the SEC coots look up at Clemson. The only constant is this was the year all the stars lined up to give UGA the national championship and they blew it. Enjoy that 1980 national championship because Kirby is not the guy to get y’all over the hump to win the big one. Talking about elite it takes more than 1 national championship in the past 30 years to make you elite…. just because you make the playoffs does not make you elite….you can only become elite IF and when you can win that final game a couple more times and your dogs ain’t there yet little buddy….Clemson has done that 2 times in the past 5 years so yes Clemson qualifies as an elite team right up there with Bama…..Go Tigers!

It pains me to say this, but the only team Georgia beat that was decent was us and we didn’t know how bad our offense sucked. I think Michigan might just take y’all out in round 1

You declared it, so that makes if official? Their does not appear to be any elite teams this year. Alabama played their best game against Georgia, but other than that were beatable. Georgia is a good team, but by no means elite. Clemson has a pretty good defense, but saddled by Dr. Pepper at QB. Good luck against Michigan. It is hard to pull for those Yankees.
