it seems like they just randomly pick a few players on each team to have dreads, because there were a few that just didnt make sense

acctually in 2010 DA did have dreads and thats all they had to go off of when making the player model....... he got his head shaved after the game was released, and that was last years roster and player models put into this years game

Still canned animations still player sliding still player clipping....
EA sports still using old school technology because they have no competition.

I did too when they were actually improving them. They havent improved the core game engine in years....
Look at the middle LB at the 37 Second mark... goes from a back pedal to stop to full acceleration in about .5 seconds.
The game is not physics based and in 2012 that is a joke.

theres always going to be flaws, and theres only so much you can really do to improve the game, the video just showed you about 1:30 of improvements theyve made

Im aware its a video game but it is also a billion dollar company with tons of resources and a game with a 60 dollar price tag.
That 1:30 was lipstick on a pig... Really they highlighted 3,5,and 7 step drops. This is the EIGHTH year on these generation of consoles and they are just now trying to get this right?
There is a reason FIFA is the best title EA puts out. It is due to them having competition with PES. FIFA is moving away from canned animations for player interaction.
There was a small developer that tried to compete with EA last year called Natural Motion. They showed that a full physics based system could work in a Football game. The game engine itself was phenomenal. They fell WAY short on the AI aspects of the game though and this plus no license equale failure.

This is how player interaction should look....
Once again the rest of this game was bad but the core of the engine was great.

FYI I didnt make video so you might want to mute sound.
Also every hit in the game wasnt like this these are just "big hits"

Also look at the crowd in that compared to EA sports football games.
This was done by a group that has maybe a 10th of the budget of EA sports.

Agreed Natural Motion tried to inject a little innovation into the genre but fell a little short. Its hard for anyone to compete without an NFL license.

Thank God, that will help throwing to a receiver and having the ball bounce of his helmet
