This directly affected us too. The ACC lost out on 6 mil, some of which would have gone to Clemson. Instead of playing against USC, whom we have only played once, instead we face off against UK in a bowl game for the fourth time.
Going forward even if we go undefeated we will be a 5th or 6th seed in a 12 team playoff instead of having the 1, 2, or 3 seed. If we were a one loss team we would be a 9 or 10 seed. If we have two losses we would be a 12 seed or eliminated from the playoffs all together in favor of two loss sec or big 10 teams.
This puts Clemson in a tough position. Basically forcing us to leave the ACC. And that possibility is up to the sec or big 10 willing to add more schools. There is no guarantee that either of those conferences will add on, since they already have a stranglehold on college football.

I hate FSU as much as anyone, but this directly impacts Clemson's pocketbook. I mean yeah, it would have been a fraction of the total payout, but could that money have been redirected to NIL? Plus I think they made a clear statement that the ACC is irrelevant. It's now the Big Two (SEC, Big10), The "short bus" (ACC and Big12) and they ROYS (formerly the group of 5). Pretty soon we will have 3 college football leagues: ESPN's Premiere League (SEC, BIG), NCAA Div 1 (ACC, Big12, AAC, etc), and NCAA Div 1-AA (Furman, Citadel, etc).

because I think anything bad that happens to FSU is warranted after the bush league they handled our game.
So yeah, the money would be nice. But it's worth a LOT to hear them whine and moan about injustices. Hypocrites.
