In advance of next week's College Football Playoff rankings, the ESPN CFP Top 25 ranking show posed an intriguing question this week.
With Clemson and Alabama separating from the pack, whose CFP streak is most likely to end at this point? The Crimson Tide have made each Playoff so far, while Clemson is working on a fourth-straight appearance this season. David Pollack sees a tougher road and some injuries piling up, giving Clemson the edge in the query. Joey Galloway picked Clemson as most likely to miss because, simply, he couldn't wrap his mind around a CFP without Alabama. Kirk Herbstreit is leaning most to "none of the above" but picked Alabama because of its schedule, which features a trip to LSU next. Clemson's chances to go unbeaten jumped 30 percent last week according to the FEI (70.1), which is close to 40 percent better than Alabama's at this point (31.5).
