From the Spartanburg Herald:

DeStefano said it's an honor to be recognized but is not worried about publicity when it comes to game night(ESPN game VS Gaffney on Aug. 26).

“I try to keep as far away from the publicity as I can. I'm just here to play the game,” he said. “What I love is all the bad publicity that I get. I have it in my locker, and it gets me jacked. Anything after that, I don't read. There is no room for arrogance, and I'm no better than anyone else.”

Paragon Marketing Group partner Rashid Ghazi, whose company is helping to present the game, said several factors went into choosing DeStefano and the opening game as part of its schedule.

“Dorman and Gaffney is a great game,” he said. “Both teams have phenomenal traditions. Having Patrick and (Gaffney wide receiver) Quinshad Davis Quinshad Davis
