Coaches Poll sees shake-up after upset-filled weekend

Coaches Poll sees shake-up after upset-filled weekend

by - Staff Writer -

Three upsets and another game that felt like a loss for a top-10 team provided a late shake-up going into championship weekend.

Ohio State's 63-39 win at previous No. 4 Michigan headlined the action after slipping to No. 10 in the polls recently. Clearing the way for a move was upset victims in previous No. 8 LSU (74-72 in 7 OTs at Texas A&M) and No. 7 Washington State (28-15 to Washington), as well as a devastating injury for UCF QB McKenzie Milton setting the UCF Knights back despite a win.

The Coaches Poll features the same undefeated top-three of Alabama then Clemson and Notre Dame, moving up Crimson Tide SEC Championship foe Georgia to No. 4, Oklahoma, No. 5, and Ohio State up to No. 6.

ACC Championship opponent Pittsburgh dropped out of the poll after a 24-0 road loss at Miami Saturday. Clemson opponents in Syracuse (18) and Texas A&M (22) closed out their regular seasons with a win.
