Clemson ranked No. 2 in latest Coaches Poll

by - Staff Writer -

The top-three all stayed perfect in the Coaches Poll this week and kept things unchanged the closer we approach Playoff selections.

Alabama leads the way with now 63 of the 64 first-place votes and the other going to Clemson, which is No. 2 ahead of Notre Dame, Michigan and Georgia.

Two of the newly-ranked ACC teams triumphed on the road on Saturday with now-No. 13 Syracuse winning at Wake (41-24) and now-No. 14 Boston College setting up a key Atlantic Division-clash at home with Clemson thanks to a 31-21 win at Virginia Tech.

The College Football Playoff No. 3 LSU fell in dominating fashion at the hands of Alabama Saturday, 29-0, and they dropped to No. 10.

The new College Football Playoff rankings will be unveiled around 9 p.m. on Tuesday (the show airing in between two college basketball games).
