Clemson Reports Secondary Violation with Buchholz

by -

CLEMSON -- Throughout the fall Clemson dual sport athlete Mark Buchholz has had a day off per week in each sport, but the days off have not been the same days. NCAA rules state the days off must be person specific, not sport specific.

Thus, Clemson has turned the situation into the ACC as a secondary violation. This is not an eligibility issue and he will not be prohibited from competition in upcoming Clemson football or soccer games.

In upcoming weeks Clemson Head Football Coach Tommy Bowden and Clemson Men's Soccer Coach Trevor Adair will work together to insure Buchholz has a day off from both sports on the same day.
