Video description (courtesy - Joe Koon): After being established on September 19, 1942, Memorial Stadium was dubbed "Death Valley" by a visiting coach because his team could never win there (not to be confused with LSU's "Deaf Valley," whose nickname came up in the 1980s). In 2007, the stadium set the record for the loudest stadium in college football at 133 decibels. Death Valley is the number one stadium in the country according to Bleacher Report, and the best tailgating atmosphere in the South according to Southern Living. This stadium holds some of the finest traditions in college football, such as rubbing Howard's Rock and running down the Hill. Clemson is 240-89-7 at home, a winning percentage of around 73%. Here are a few of the best moments from Death Valley.
