"Ryan is better from watching him yesterday," Swinney said. "He is really improving and getting better. He is still out this week. We are hopeful that B.C. (Boston College) he will back."

Swinney thinks that Norton will make Clemson an even better team when he returns healthy.

"Ryan Norton is a very good football player," Swinney said. "Really good player. He is a starter for a reason. Not just cause we like him. He is a starter cause he earned it and makes us a better team."

Clemson defensive players Dane Rogers and Chris Register are questionable for this weekend's game.
