committed to Clemson on Monday night. Brooks rushed for nearly 1,400 yards and 17 touchdowns during his junior season and currently boasts a dozen offers. Last week, Brooks told TigerNet his recruiter is new offensive coordinator Chad Morris, and the two already agree on how Brooks would fit into the Tiger offense. “I love how he wants me to play in his offense,” he said. “I feel like I am perfect for what they want me to do. He told me I can be a running back on one play, then go to wide receiver, then go to the slot and then go back to running back. You just can’t cover that. They want to get me the ball.” In a recent interview with Irish Sports Daily Brooks' head coach Randy Coleman compared him to a former NFL great. “He’s just naturally gifted,” Coleman said. “There’s one coach that I won’t name, one of the head coaches, that compares him to (former NFL running back) Marcus Allen. A lot of coaches see him as a slot or as an X that can play outside as well. A lot of people like the versatility.” “I think he’s probably a slot receiver,” Coleman said of his four-star player. “I think there may be times where he could line up outside and do well, but him on a nickel linebacker or safety and you got advantage Zac. Also, because of the running back skills that he has that puts him in good position for things like reverses and getting involved in the screen game and the run game. His skill set, looking like a natural running back, I just think you have more ways to get him touches and not just necessarily catching the ball downfield touches.”
