ESPN: NR

Jerrell King has received accolades on and off the field. King attended Boys State this past summer, and then had a good week at the North-South game. King is very raw, but many feel he has a huge upside because of his size.

"Palmetto Boys State helps you get to know the government and political system. At first, I thought it would be a bunch of dorky stuff, but it was the most fun I had ever had in my life. It forced you into a leadership role. You had to force your opinion to stand out or else you would not get noticed. The North-South game went well. I just had the attitude that I wanted to excel."

Clemson and South Carolina are the two schools that are recruiting King. King has official visits set up with each school in the month of January. Clemson will be his first stop this weekend, and then he will visit South Carolina the following weekend.

"South Carolina has been the first to really come on to me. They started last year. For them to be the first to come after, I followed them the closest this past year. They are the beginning of my recruiting, and you never know they may be the end."

"They (Clemson) are one big happy family. When I went up for a game, it was just love. It seemed like a championship atmosphere. The crowd was the best I have ever seen. Running down the Hill was a rush for me, and I was just in the stands."

King says South Carolina may have a slight edge right now, because they have been with him the longest. No timetable has been set for a decision, but he has an idea of where he will sign.

"I have a pretty good idea of where I am going. I am just not ready to release that information to the public yet."
