Beau Hankins is a big 6-2, 235 pound linebacker from Birmingham, Alabama. He will be visiting Clemson's campus on March 14th for an unofficial visit.

TigerNet spoke with Hankins and he discussed about why he is interested in Clemson.

"I love the tradition of Clemson and the way their defense swarms to the ball and of course they have one of the nicest uniforms in college," Hankins said.

He believes that Clemson is one of most athletic teams in the entire nation.

"Overall, their speed is golden which allows them to beat teams. They have to be in the top five fastest teams with Oregon, Florida, Florida State, and Georgia Tech."

As a junior, he had 103 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, three sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and even three block punts.

"Well I play hard, fast, downhill, and conservative when necessary. I hit with the intent to hurt. I bring the pain and I'm always looking for a hard hit," Hankins said.

He has visited Tennessee and Auburn on unofficial visits in the last few weeks.

Schools that have shown the most interest are Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Tennessee, Georgia, Georgia Tech, UAB, Miss St, Arkansas, and Oregon.

He thinks that several schools are on the verge of offering him in the next two to six weeks.

He responded about possibly committing if Clemson offers on his visit, "Yea I would certainly think about it."
