Herbstreit congratulates Boulware on Twitter

ESPN commentator Kirk Herbstreit predicted before the season that Clemson would win the 2016 National Championship. Boulware and the rest of the Tigers made him look like a soothsayer by defeating Alabama 35-31 on Jan. 9 to win the title.

Herbstreit went to Twitter to congratulate Boulware personally on his tremendous season.

"Such a perfect statement-Congrats brother-Your, and your teammates focus on the prize is why you're champions!!,"Herbstreit posted. "Congrats on a historic year!"

In 2016, Boulware was named ACC Co-Defensive Player of the Year as he led the Tigers with 127 tackles and will be participating in the upcoming Reese's Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala.
