and eleven other players including five receivers were cut by the New York Jets on Sunday.

The other cuts included CB Javier Arenas, OT James Brewer, CB Curtis Brown, WR T.J. Graham, WR Saalim Hakim, WR Austin Hill, WR DeVier Posey, WR Jonathon Rumph, LB Bryan Johnson, TE Matt LaCosse and CB Keith Lewis.

Freeman was an undrafted free agent for the Jets back in 2013.

At Clemson, Freeman was a four-time Academic All-ACC selection, two-time first-time All-ACC on the field, two-time Rimington Award Finalist, and first-team All-American by the Football Coaches Association. He was tied for first in school history in total starts and tied for fourth in total games played.
