Clemson ranked in Top 10 for best schools for football and education |
The College Football season will start up in less than two months as players work towards their dreams of playing in the NFL. However, most of the student-athletes won't make it professionally statistically and will need to utilize their college degrees eventually in the real world.
College Factual released their sports rankings of the top schools to play college football and receive a great education as Clemson was ranked No. 8 on the list. "The Clemson University Fighting Tigers have a total of 22 conference titles under their belt. Head coach Dabo Swinney‘s players have excelled both on the field and in the classroom, winning 76.1% of their games," College Factual said. Clemson is a highly ranked public university that keeps costs low for students. Over 90% of freshman return for their sophomore year and the school boasts a full-time teacher of over 90% as well. Business administration, psychology and teacher education are its most popular majors." The top 10 schools that have the best blend of football and academics were Ohio State, TCU, Duke, Notre Dame, Alabama, Wisconsin, Baylor, Clemson, Georgia Tech, and USC. The metrics that were used to determine the rankings were athletic competitiveness, overall college quality, academic progress rate, athletic aid per student, and financial resources.
