What's up Mickey,

Know that the countdown to kickoff is closer... I have a few things I wanted to ask you.. Starting with Why is the ACC also the last one to do things ? I mean I am sick of see all of these promo's for the SEC Network, When is Swofford going to get off his but and make the ACC network happen?? I mean a TV network not a Digital network.. I saw both the ESPN release and the Swofford release on the autonomy Legislation for the power 5 , do you really think this is a good thing ????  Does this mean that the ticket prices with go down or up? I know you touched on this last week, but why are we doing a home and home with auburn again, instead of a team that has not been to Death valley Like LSU, Florida, Tennessee, Oregon, UCLA, Michigan, Texas or even Oklahoma. When is the last time Clemson played a team from the Big Ten, Big 12 or Pac-12 outside of a bowl game ??? I think we as fans would like to see a different match ups...  Back to more important things : Have their been any word on weather or not Peake will be back for the Georgia game? Do you think Dye would be ready by Florida State game ? Lastly why is not one "analysts" Give Clemson any credit for what we have coming back and the recruiting job the Coaches have done ??

Thank you and as always # ALLIN #SOLIDORANGE    BeatGeorgia

T. Graham,

The ACC Network is closer to happening but I am not sure about the sustainability of these conference networks.

On the subject of autonomy, most people I talk to are not sure of the specifics of what will pass and what will not. The devil will be in the details. I think some of the ideas will be great and much needed. However, I think some of the ideas may be dangerous.

I can't see ticket prices going down anytime soon. They may level off but I can't see them going down.

Auburn agreed to play and other schools have not. I am sure Clemson has reached out to other programs but Auburn was the one that fit for those two years. It will be tough to play a Big 10 or Pac 12 team in the future. They will have nine conference games and they also play a team from the each other's conference once a year. I can't Clemson being a draw for either conference.

Peake was jogging at practice Wednesday and the plan is for him to be back in the next week. The question I have concerns his confidence. How confident will he be on August 30?

I doubt Dye will be ready until late October at the earliest. In fact, I would be surprised if he is a big contributor at any point this season. He is still limping pretty good.

I think most analyst see Clemson losing Sammy WatkinsSammy Watkins

and assume the cupboard is empty.

Mickey,

I read your blog today, "First Day in Pads."  How often does our first-string offensive line practice against our first-string defensive line? I am curious to what extent we truly are able to find out how good our offensive line is going to be when they begin practicing in pads.  It is easy to look good against the back-ups, but it is far more realistic to prove you can actually block a good defense.

Kindest Regards,

Kirk

They go "good on good" pretty frequently in the spring and early in camp. About ten days out they will decrease the frequency. The defensive line is so deep that the second team guys give a pretty good test also.
