Quick question. What would Dabo do, if he has a Jadeveaon Clowney on his team and is presented with the same situation as Spurrier? We all know how flexible Spurrier is when it comes to players (ala Garcia); however, this to me seems to be a major distraction for the rest of team. Maybe the players dismiss Clowney and follow Connor Shaw who will do what it takes to win. Whatever happens I believe Spurrier is playing with fire. I would like to get your thoughts on how Dabo would handle something like this.
YABBA DABO DOO
I am not sure what he would do. My guess is that it would not have come to that. My major issue is that Clowney is often hurt but I am told he rarely goes to the training room. In this case, Clowney missed Thursday's practice but did not spend all day Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the training room. The reason Spurrier and Ward were "shocked" is because the trainer was shocked. He did not know it was serious because Clowney was not in treatment those days trying to get ready. But that was Spurrier's fault because Clowney has been able to get away with missing practice and not going to the training room for treatment in the past.
On FSU, I really hate how nobody still is really giving Clemson the credit they deserve. Their ranking may be good but still not enough respect is being shown to Clemson. FSU on the other hand is way up on Maryland Saturday and just continues to run up the score and throw the ball late in the game. Why does Clemson always get frowned upon when they leave their players in and FSU doesn't. I also don't believe FSU has proved anything this year to be ranked 6th. Any comments on all these subjects?
I think Clemson is getting a lot of credit. The Tigers are third in the polls. You can't turn on ESPN and not see Clemson on college football daily and sports center.

View Full Profile is high in a lot of Heisman polls. I don't see Clemson being void of credit. Both are top five teams in my mind and both deserve every bit of coverage they get.
I think the glaring difference for the Gamecock defense this year versus recent years is not just a lack of game experience more importantly it is a significant lack of size. Their size is anything other than SEC size. It reminds me of our team in recent years trying to win on defense with 205-215 pound linebackers. Also, DJ Swearinger brought intensity, attitude, and the Hammer. I don’t think game experience will solve their issues if they don’t beef up. Remember they are in the SEC!
In His Name,
I agree that the linebackers are the biggest issue on defense. They miss a lot of tackles on the second level. South Carolina is inexperienced there and it is showing. I also agree they miss Swearinger and his toughness.
I am sorry but I am looking ahead. Will the Clemson-FSU game be the biggest ever played in Death Valley?
Only if Clemson beats BC, so I hope the players are not looking ahead. I think the Clemson-FSU game may be the biggest conference game in ACC history. This game has national title implications. It has Heisman implications. This could be the biggest game ever in Death Valley, yes.
