Clowney reschedules Clemson visit |
CLEMSON – As the Clemson football staff hosts a huge batch of recruits this weekend, TigerNet learned early this morning Clemson has taken steps to ensure that the one in two weeks will be big as well. Jadeveon Clowney (6-6, 247), the No. 1-rated high school prospect in the nation out of Rock Hill’s South Pointe High School, will be on campus on January 28th for an official visit. It appears Clemson has managed to get the 5-star player to reschedule his visit which he dropped after Rumph left for Alabama. Clowney confirmed to TigerNet that he is taking the visit and looking forward to meeting with the Clemson staff, including the new coaches. Clowney dominated the Shrine Bowl, making five tackles, three sacks for a combined loss of 15 yards, two tackles for a loss of 17 yards and two quarterback hurries. For the 2010 season, Clowney had 162 tackles, 29.5 sacks, 29 tackles for loss, 11 caused fumbles, 6 fumbles recoveries, 43 quarterback pressures and five defensive touchdowns.
