Clemson Ranked #19 in Baseball America Preseason Poll

Clemson is ranked #19 in Baseball America’s 2009 preseason poll, released on Tuesday. It marks the 21st consecutive season that Clemson has earned a top-25 national ranking by one of the three major polls. Texas A&M is atop the Baseball America poll. Other ACC teams ranked include #3 North Carolina, #20 Georgia Tech, and #24 Florida State. The Tigers had a 31-27-1 record in 2008, but they return eight starters in the field and four of their top five starting pitchers in 2009. The Tigers will open the 2009 season on February 20 against Charlotte at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
