Davis Returning To Clemson?

by -

CLEMSON - It appears James Davis has had a change of heart.

The three-time 1,000-yard rusher has told multiple media outlets today that he wants to return to Clemson for his senior season, this after announcing his intention to turn professional earlier this week. The Charleston Post and Courier, as well as numerous other media, have reported on the story this afternoon.

The question now seems to be whether the NCAA will allow Davis to return. While he apparently has the backing of his coaches and teammates, there remain hurdles to be cleared before Davis would be allowed to return to the team.

Among them, proving that he has not signed with nor had contact with an agent.

Apparently Davis has filled out the necessary paperwork to begin the return process. The school is said to have the papers in hand and are beginning the necessary steps to obtain a final answer.

More on the story as events warrant.
