Dan Scott: Clemson - La Tech Prediction |
DIV>I'm not going to say I told you so. At least not yet.
came calling, and I can sense the kind of success we experienced...well, it's been so long ago I can't really remember when it was. But, by golly, I know it happened sometime. in the numbers. Clemson's mode of operation may be much like it was last week vs. North Carolina - control things with the run, pass infrequently but effectively. However, don't be surprised if Will Proctor comes out throwing in the early portion of the game, based on what the Bulldogs try to do defensively. Either way, Clemson should move the ball very effectively. with regularity. Clemson fans will recall facing the Bulldog passing game in the Humanitarian Bowl a few years back, and then again a couple of years later at Death Valley. This should be a big game for Gaines Adams and Co. on the defensive line. Let's see how much pressure they can put on the quarterback. of Clemson's game to move beyond what Tommy Bowden calls "average" and start making big plays - block a punt, return a kickoff or punt for big yardage. Just a hunch, but I believe this unit responds this week. Defensive coordinator Vic Koening's young defense has responded to adversity. Rob Spence's offense has looked better and better each week. Special teams looks to be improving. The line play has been solid...Kind of scary, eh? La. Tech Saturday night is Clemson. Do they have the killer instinct again this week? Here's believing they do.
