CLEMSON -- Clemson's season opening game with Florida Atlantic on September 2 at Clemson Memorial Stadium will kick off at 1:00 PM.

There will be no live television for the first ever meeting between the Tigers and the Owls.

The kickoff time for five of Clemson's 12 regular season games has now been announced. Three of the five are night games. The Boston College game on September 9 will have a 3:30 PM start in Boston and will be televised by ABC on a regional basis. The Florida State game in Tallahassee the following week will start at 7:30 PM and will be televised nationally on ESPN.

The Temple game on, Thursday, October 12 will have a 7:30 PM start, while the Virginia Tech contest in Blacksburg, VA on Thursday, October 26 will have a 7:45 PM start and will be televised by ESPN.

The kickoff times for the other seven games on Clemson's 2006 schedule will be announced 12 days prior to the game.

Clemson will play 11 consecutive weeks from September 2 through November 11. The Tigers will not have a game November 18 weekend, giving the team two weeks to prepare for the annual rivalry game with South Carolina on November 25.
