DURHAM, N.C. - Cal State Fullerton swept Pacific to win its 10th series in 11 weeks, and it maintained the No. 1 spot in Baseball America's weekly college baseball rankings.

No. 2 Rice and No. 3 North Carolina each recorded conference series sweeps as well, while No. 4 Nebraska became the first road team to win a series at Texas since 2003. Texas slid to No. 7.

Oregon State and Alabama also earned conference series sweeps to improve to fifth and sixth in this week's Top 25, the highest rankings for either club this season.

Notre Dame's win streak reached a school-record 22 games as the Fighting Irish completed another 5-0 week to surge to No. 12.

Houston posted a 4-0 week and has won eight of its last nine games as it joins the rankings at No. 19. It's the first time the Cougars have been ranked since the final Top 25 of 2003. Virginia recorded a conference series victory at Miami to run the Hurricanes from the rankings and pull itself in at No. 20.

UCLA won its third straight Pacific-10 Conference series by winning two games against Arizona State. The No. 22 Bruins make the Top 25 for the first time since March 2001, while the Sun Devils slid to No. 16. Mississippi has won six straight games and moves into the Top 25 at No. 23 after sweeping Louisiana State.

The staff of Baseball America determines the Top 25 rankings. Records indicated are through games of April 23 and do not include ties.
