NFL.com released its latest article ranking the top 16 college football quarterbacks that they would want with the game on the line and Deshaun Watson was listed #1 overall.

"Watson had never lost a game he started and finished until falling in the CFP title game against Alabama in January, and that game might have been his most impressive career performance," NFL.com said. "One factor that makes him so tough to beat: on the rare occasions when he struggles as a passer, he can make up for it as a rusher. Notre Dame and Oklahoma learned that the hard way last year."

Clemson junior quarterback Deshaun Watson finished third in the Heisman Trophy balloting last season and will be one of the favorites in 2016. Watson completed 333-of-491 passes for 4,104 yards and 35 touchdowns and also had 207 rushes for 1,105 yards and 12 scores this past season.

Watson became the first player in NCAA FBS history to throw for 4,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards in the same season.

The Top 16 quarterbacks in the NFL.com rankings were Deshaun Watson, Baker Mayfield, J.T. Barrett, Josh Rosen, C.J. Beathard, Mason Rudolph, DeShone Kizer, Greg Ward, Seth Russell, Nick Mullens, Tanner Mangum, Patrick Mahomes, Chad Kelly, Cooper Rush, Eli Jenkins and Quinton Flowers.
