by - Assoc. Editor -

Former Clemson standout Nuk Hopkins will be a spokesman for the Houston Food Bank and Souper Bowl of Caring in 2014 according to team officials.

Hopkins said in a Texans' release: “I want to be able to give hope to people who are struggling to provide food for their family. I know how it feels to go to bed hungry and I also know if you keep working hard that your fate can change."

He also wants to try to make a difference in his new community.

"I hope to be able to raise awareness for both the Houston Food Bank and Souper Bowl of Caring so we can make a difference to those who need hunger relief," said Hopkins.
