Clemson ranked in Top 25 CFB teams with NFL Talent |
NFL.com ranked College Football's Top 25 teams in 2015
with the most NFL talent and Clemson came in #14 overall and third in the ACC conference behind only Florida State (#3) and Virginia Tech (#13).
The Hokies appear to be very overrated in the rankings even though they have a future 1st rounder in Kendall Fuller. Miami (#23) and Pittsburgh (#24) were the two other ACC schools that made the Top 25 list. NFL.com analyst Bucky Brooks gives a ton of credit to Swinney for his recruiting classes the last few years. "Credit Dabo Swinney for taking Clemson to the next level through his diligent recruiting efforts," NFL.com said. "The Tigers have put together a string of elite recruiting classes that have featured a number of four- and five-star talents with game-changing ability. This has led NFL scouts to regularly descend upon Death Valley to nab premier playmakers on the perimeter, including Sammy Watkins, DeAndre Hopkins and C.J. Spiller. Williams could be the next Tiger to take his talents to the NFL as a blue-chip talent. Given his 6-foot-4, 210-pound frame and his spectacular ball skills, it is no surprise evaluators are keeping a close eye on whether Williams is capable of blossoming into a No. 1 WR as a pro." Freshman offensive tackle Mitch Hyatt was also discussed as a possible future NFL player. "When Isaiah Battle decided to enter the NFL supplemental draft, the Tigers were forced to entrust the left tackle position to their prized recruit, who is charged with protecting Watson's blindside. The 6-foot-6, 285-pound freshman will need to work through some growing pains, but is already viewed as an upgrade over his predecessor."
