Clemson ranked #1 in ESPN's ACC Power Rankings

by - Assoc. Editor -

ESPN has released its latest Preseason ACC Power Rankings on Monday morning and the Clemson football team is rated #1 overall.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets surprisingly donned the top spot in the last ESPN ACC preseason power rankings back in May.

"We’ve seen Deshaun Watson healthy and moving around on the practice field, and that’s enough to bump the Tigers back up to the top spot," ESPN said. "The question of whether he can stay healthy all season still looms large, but for now, Clemson appears to be in good shape."

Clemson has had four straight 10-win seasons, a first for the program since Clemson had four straight 10-win seasons between 1987-90 and it also the first time the Tigers have won three straight bowl games since 1986-90.

The full ACC power rankings list includes Clemson (#1), Georgia Tech (#2), Florida State (#3), Virginia Tech (#4), Louisville (#5), N.C. State (#6), Duke (#7), Miami (#8), Pittsburgh (#9), North Carolina (#10), Boston College (#11), Virginia (#12), Syracuse (#T13) and Wake Forest (#T13).
