Boston College QB to make first career start against Clemson

Boston College true freshman quarterback Jeff Smith will make his first career start tomorrow at Clemson according to the school's official Twitter account.

Smith is 9 for 30 for 86 yards and an interception this season.

Official Boston College Bio: Earned First-Team All-State Class 3A honors … played in the Blue-Grey All-American Game … named the Bright House Sports Network’s Offensive Player of the Year and the Tampa Bay Times All-Pinellas County Offensive Player of the Year … voted a team captain … played for head coach John Davis … set the Central Catholic school record for touchdowns by a quarterback with 34, both in 2014 and 2013 ... also set the school record with 397 passing yards in a single game and helped the Marauders racked up a record 507 points in 2014 ... threw for 2,165 yards and rushed for 1,236 more in senior year ......... led the Marauders to the Class 3A state title game as a junior ... recorded 2,194 passing yards and 1,258 rushing yards in 2013.
