The "Jadeveon Clowney situation" refers to several national media outlets thinking a bone spur in his foot, a stomach virus, and a strained rib cage is all just a precursor to him sitting out the rest of the year to prepare for the NFL draft. Even ESPN piled on with analyst Paul Finebaum today calling him "the "biggest joke in college football." Also, South Carolina coach Steven Spurrier went on to read a prepared statement about Clowney's injuries today during his weekly press conference.
