Clemson ranked #1 in CFB Playoff Rankings for 3rd week |
The Clemson football team (10-0, 7-0 ACC) is ranked the #1 overall seed again in the College Football Top 25 rankings released by the College Football Playoff committee on Tuesday night on ESPN. The Tigers are now No. 1 in all three polls.
The Tigers are 10-0 for the third time (1948 and 1981) in school history, and Clemson's 37-27 road win over Syracuse clinched a fifth straight season with at least ten wins for the Tigers. "There was some discussion about Clemson and Alabama with possibly Alabama moving to number one," Selection Committee chair Jeff Long said on ESPN. "But it was clear as we voted that Clemson remained number one." The College Football Playoff Committee chose Clemson (#1 seed), Alabama (#2 seed), Ohio State (#3 seed) and Notre Dame (#4 seed) as the four teams projected in the playoff. The official playoff will be set on Sunday, Dec. 6. Week 3 CFB Playoff Rankings: 1) Clemson 2) Alabama 3) Ohio State 4) Notre Dame 5) Iowa 6) Oklahoma State pic.twitter.com/8ycYFfQqOg 1.
