Spring Game Watch: La'Donte Harris

by - Correspondent -

Coming into the spring, Clemson was looking for depth at the wide receiver position. La'Donte Harris came into the spring relatively under the radar. Harris avoided a redshirt in the fall, but he was used primarily as a blocking receiver. Harris has made the most of his experience.

Harris has consistently been the best receiver on the field this spring. Harris has been described as a very coachable player. He has taken everything in from Coach Dabo Swinney, and he is now starting to shine.

Chansi Stuckey stole the headlines last spring. This spring Stuckey looks to the headlines to find himself in a battle with Harris and senior Curtis Baham for a starting role. Harris continues to block well downfield, and he is becoming a more polished route runner. The coaching staff has no concerns about Harris now, but would still like to see a few more receivers step up their level of play.
