Looks better on the OL. Sounds like a Clemson man to me. We need him and he needs us.

He is a guy that once it's said once a Tiger always a Tiger, and that's bc he sounds like a guy that once he commits to something, he understands the entire definition of commitment, and once he's a Tiger, he will most likely always be a Tiger bc he will be at Clemson until he is done with what he came to Clemson to do, and I believe that if it's Clemson he commits to, he will always be a Tiger, a Clemson Tiger. To me that is what always a Tiger actually means!!!!!

If he commits, what will he be again? I need to hear it a third time.

Let’s call it like we see it, he’s soon to be a great Clemson Offensive lineman, the first one off the bus to strike fear in the other teams!
He’ll go on to be a great NFL player too!

Sorry, but when I think of programs with great cultures GA, FL, Auburn and Arkansas don’t quickly come to mind. They have great football histories, but I just don’t see them as places to go if you want to develop in more ways than football. Really hope this young man chooses Clemson. He does seem like a great fit for Dabo’s culture and program based on what his HS Coach said here.

A quality human being with size, a perfect match for the Clemson program and especially for the Clemson culture as created by Coach Swinney. He'd love it here, and we'd love him here.

Am I the only one who feels these videos are almost useless? I mean, Fletcher is much bigger than the guys he's up against in high school and having little trouble mashing them to the ground. Reminds me of the Bryan Bresee high school videos we saw a few years ago where he was just running over and around people. It was not as easy once he got here. Do I want to see him come to Clemson? Absolutely! But the selective videos showing us only his best blocks are a bit much. Am I wrong?

Bresee spent his entire college career being double teamed, just as he will in the NFL - his perceived lack of production is a much bigger impact on the game than people realize. I think this guy will be just as much of a problem for other teams as Bryan is. There are some players that force coaches to work their gameplans to avoid them.

Because what you see on tape is a reflection of just what

… you mention. Judging the future for an OL in high school has always been considered a crap shoot.
Of course a guy 6’8”+ and 335 is going to dominate other hs kids. And hs coaches may not have the skill or the time to teach them when things are coming so easily with minimal effort.
What happens when they line up across from a dominate college defender tells the true story and so few come out if a high school program ready to step right into a starting role in college.
There was a time when it was a forgone conclusion that all your OL recruits would red shirt without exception. Many would not see much playing time until they’d been in your system for a couple of years.
For so many recruits, that traditional time line has moved up and now guys enter college thinking they will start right away and will be NFL draft picks as juniors. Research however shows that a great many guys who came to college lightly regarded eventually enjoyed solid NFL careers.
This particular kid will not start as a freshman. He’ll probably (hopefully) red shirt. Because he has a lot of things you can’t coach … height, weight, character.
He appears to be eager to learn and ready to pay his dues at the next level.
If we get him, we will have a good one, in my opinion.

I have liked this guy since we first started recruiting. The fact that he wants to be coached is huge. Kid is smart and willing to work. Sure hope we get him.

If this kid is serious about everything that he says he wants to get out of college and college sports, with the 5 schools that he listed as his choices, there is only one where he can get everything that he's looking forward to getting in 4 short years, and that only school is Clemson. If he really wants what he says he wants out of college, he will be a Clemson Tiger!!!! We all love Clemson and we're all really bias when talking about Clemson, and we love Dabo bc of all he has done for Clemson, and I think this kid knows what we know about Dabo and him being a part of Clemson, he wants to be a part of it all....

A good position coach can teach the proper technique. What you can't coach is size, which he already has, as well as drive, competitiveness and sheer nastiness between whistles. He could be special if he has these intangibles.
