I hear that, and a lot of coach speak, but I definitely hear, too, that he has a lot of confidence in "the talent", but also sounds like he's trying to convince himself that it's actually going to show up some day... soon. And as head coach of a program that so many eyes are focused on, expecting nothing but success - particularly in light of the level of recruiting it's been able to sustain recently - I can appreciate his wanting to keep things close to the chest, as the saying implies, and not be overly optimistic, especially in front of the media. But the comments regarding "snapping issues" raise a little concern, as we had a few costly issues with exactly that last year. One of the most overlooked skill positions in football, which so much relies on - almost like the catcher on a baseball team. Sometimes it can only take one bad snap to ruin an entire season. But hey, all this is exactly what practice is all about, and I'm sure that Dabo, et. al., consummate and experienced professionals that they are, know exactly what they're doing. Go Tigers!
