Shaq Lawson: The forgotten man?
Sophomore defensive end Shaq Lawson can turn pro after this season - he spent a year at Hargrave - and defensive ends coach Marion Hobby says that Lawson has the talent to play on the next level. What else does Hobby say about Lawson? What will it take to keep the Daniel grad off the field? Full Story » |

He'd have to have an incredible season in order

for him leaving early to be a good idea. He's can be a first rounder, if he just stays around long enough and shows everyone how good he is. Hopefully he sees that, and makes the decision to stay!

I don't get it. How can you be 'forgotten' when you've earned the nickname 'SACK LAWSON'? There is a reason he is called that by many. I'm not even an expert and I know he is good. Maybe it's all relative to Beasley. Dunno.

He happens to be competing with some very good players at his position. Talk of him and the NFL at this point is way, way out in front of the curve. He has a lot of work to do and a lot to learn at Clemson. Coach Hobby clearly alluded to that.

As much as I like the guys in front of him I am really excited about Lawson getting his chance. In my mind he was the most exciting player in his recruiting class and I think he has the talent to be better then Beasley. I would expect him to get an NFL grade in the 3-5 range even as a back up this season. I really hope he stays because as a starter he will be a monster.
