The meeting was mostly pretty cordial,

but it is plain that Susie has checked out and unplugged. She admitted that she has been on dates with a guy from work, lunch and dinner. The therapist is a fool, I think. I never raised my voice, but Susie became really defensive and angry a couple of times.She said it "may be too late" to reconcile; bear in mind, this was our first meeting since she moved out over a month ago. She has only had contact with our son for an hour on his birthday, and none at all with our daughter.
It's looking like it would take a miracle to keep this going, and I'm not sure that I want that, now that I know what I know. In my mind, and in my heart, she has crossed a line that I could maybe forgive, but never forget.

but since I can't give you a thumbs down I'll reply to your post by saying that I don't think anybody wants to read about a guy nearly 60 years old becoming estranged from his wife.
At least not without at least including some pigs of her "having contact" with your son for an hour on his birthday.

I have received hundreds of messages of support and prayers from all over. A common theme running through them is that "we were friends with Susie because she was your wife."
It is also my birthday.
So, I am sharing for the main reason of saving some time with individual updates of a pretty ###### point in my life. My kids are great, and a lot of help.

I'm impressed by families capable of staying together; I'm especially impressed by families capable of staying together that inspire young potential recruits to choose Clemson to play football.
I don't see how your posts are helping.
Please keep in mind that numerous bad dictators throughout history received hundreds of prayers in support.
Not that I'm saying you're a bad person, I'm just saying that numbers don't impress me.

Try to document everything, so you don't forget anything. Get a good lawyer. If she's wanting to start a new relationship with someone else, maybe she'll make a lot of concessions to hurry the process along. Then when she breaks it off with the new guy and comes crawling back, you'll get the last laugh

You must have some incredible self- control to have kept it together the way it sounds like you did. I'm not sure how I would react to such a huge breach of trust, especially finding out that somebody you thought was in it with you until the end hasn't been thinking about you that way.
Here's hoping and praying that she realizes what a mistake her behavior is, and that she can at least tell you why she's doing what she's doing.
